A weekend on the water has to be one of the best ways to relax, unwind, kickback, socialise, enjoy your family, celebrate, dine at a waterfront restaurant  and the best part is that Pittwater is just a short drive from the heart of Sydney.

One of my favourite things is to board on Friday and make a long weekend of it. You can even arrange to arrive in Friday evening and stay aboard Omega for the night ready for an early departure Saturday morning.

you will find the Marina is just a 200 meters walk to the famous Newport Arms Beer Garden, a perfect place relax and enjoy a drink while you watch the beautiful sun set over Pittwater or wine and dine at the Bistro or Terrace Restaurant.http://www.newportarms.com.au/

The best kept secret is just 40 minutes from the big smoke and a million miles from hustle and bustle of every day life. Cruising the magnificent waterways of the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park . It is just so remarkable that such a pristine environment has been preserved so close to Sydney.
